It’s the new year and for many people, this is a time for resolutions and resets. YES/LESS is an exercise I went through a few months ago during a visual facilitation workshop that helped me focus on what I needed for a little more balance. Have I moved the needle on any of the things I listed? No!
So I’m going to focus on one thing that can make it happen: less doomscrolling. I figure if I decrease random social media usage I will decrease procrastination.
And I’m going to take three steps to jumpstart progress:
1. Taking Facebook and Twitter off my phone and iPad = more Kindle book reading.
2. Don’t begin the day with Twitter = beginning it with prayer
3. Visiting Twitter and Facebook once a day on my desktop and then physically signing out so it is not just a simple click away = less procrastination.
Simplicity can be powerful. And using a visual template gives you something that you can post up on your office wall or in the back of your closet.
Let me know what your one thing is!
